Just one more post and I promise I'll stop writing about the wedding!
My son, in his non-wedding attire and clip-on tie. What a face! I LOVE THAT FACE:
I hate having my picture taken:
But I love this man:
Its sort of an odd feeling, having gotten this done so quickly. I keep feeling a sense of surprise when I remember that I have new and awesome in-laws, that my kids have new cousins, that we are now a blended family. That I have a husband. That my parents have a new son-in-law.
Speaking of my parents, my dad grows a beard periodically because my mom hates it so much. Eventually she'll stop looking at him and then he'll shave it off and it will take her two days to notice. He's in beard-growing phase. I didn't think it was necessary for him to shave it off for the wedding, but I have to say, he looks like he's warming up to play Santa:
There are more pictures, and I have one of my daughter with her friend and now-cousin, but I haven't asked permission yet from people to post their pictures here, so that one may have to wait a bit.
Friends and coworkers have been so congratulatory and seem so genuinely happy for us. I get a lot of people who feel bad that SG has to work so far away and for so long, but honestly, I'm really OK. Sure, its not ideal, but its not forever . He's got steady, long-term contracts and these days that's nothing to take for granted. Besides, he calls me three or four times a day. Its just like having him here, except he doesn't leave the toilet seat up.
