Long time no post. Sorry, been busy.
Winter is beginning to settle in, and chances to ride are getting scarce. I had a nice workout with my greenbroke mare on Saturday, then ponied her with my gelding out on the trail. They both had a great time, as did I - with the exception that it got cold rather quickly after about 3 pm and I wasn't quite dressed for that. When your fingers are too numb to easily uncinch the saddle its time to think about gloves.
I happened to catch an online article today about a subject I still can't believe people are talking about. Apparently there are folks out there who are still concerned with proving that Sarah Palin did not give birth to Trig. Enough, people, ENOUGH ALREADY! Whether you like Sarah Palin or not ( and I don't like her one bit - I didn't vote for her ticket, disagree with her vehemently on many issues but sure wish I looked as good as she does and think she looks awesome packing a rifle), when it comes to the subject of family privacy, I am going to side with her and her son.
I believe that information concerning a person's biological identity rightfully belongs to that individual. However, I am equally adamant that the same information is not public fodder, regardless of who the family involved is. I don't think it truly matters whether Trig's biological mother is Sarah Palin or her daughter Bristol or someone else, for that matter. His biological origins are the business of his parents (birth and adoptive, if that's even the case) and himself. Period. Get over it, folks, move on. I have no doubt that Sarah Palin will give America plenty of opportunities to pick on her, but this issue should be off limits.
